Egypt Libraries

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Latin for "Library of Alexandria") is a major library and cultural center located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, CULTNAT, is affiliated with Bibliotheca Alexandrina and supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It was created to accurately document the vast collection of Egypt's heritage represented in archaeological sites, architecture, arts, folklore and natural beauty.

Egyptian Libraries Network is the first and only web site that provides searching the Egyptian Libraries databases via the Internet. Thus, to implement the IDSC strategy in disseminating the use of information technology in the Egyptian society.

The Cabinet IDSC Library was established in 1987, and was considered one of the basic infrastructure of the center's Decision Support sector. The library provides information sources in different formats and in fields of Decision Support, socio-economic development, management and IT.
